Iran Values Its Ties with Pakistan: President Pezeshkian

Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that his country places significant importance on its relations with Pakistan. During a meeting in Tehran with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who paid an official visit, President Pezeshkian highlighted the enduring support Pakistan provided during the war.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Pezeshkian remarked that the Zionist regime is attempting to sow discord among Muslim nations. He stressed the necessity for unity and harmony among Islamic countries. The President expressed contentment with the current state of bilateral relations between Iran and Pakistan.

President Pezeshkian underscored the significance of diplomatic exchanges and constructive dialogue as means to enhance cooperation between Iran and Pakistan. He noted that both countries possess substantial opportunities to strengthen their collaboration.

During the meeting, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated President Pezeshkian on Iran's significant victory in the war. Minister Naqvi affirmed Pakistan's strong condemnation of the attack on Iran across all platforms.

The Interior Minister highlighted that Pakistan's Parliament was the first to pass a resolution condemning the war imposed on Iran and supported Iran's legitimate right to self-defense.
