Islamabad: Pakistan has decided to upgrade the level of its Charg© d’Affaires in Kabul to the level of Ambassador. This strategic move was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in a post on social media platform X.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ishaq Dar expressed confidence that this upgrade would enhance engagement and deepen cooperation between Pakistan and Afghanistan in several key areas. These areas include economic collaboration, security measures, counter-terrorism efforts, and trade relations. The upgrade is also expected to promote further exchanges between the two neighboring countries, which share a long history of cultural and political ties.
Ishaq Dar highlighted that Pakistan-Afghanistan relations have been on a positive trajectory following his productive visit to Kabul with a Pakistani delegation on the 19th of the last month. The visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and exploring new avenues for cooperation between the two nations.
