Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that the Jinnah Medical Complex (JMC) will be developed into a tertiary care hospital adhering to international standards. During a review meeting on the Jinnah Medical Complex and Research Centre, he emphasized the importance of digitizing the medical complex and integrating artificial intelligence into its operations.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting included a presentation of the concept design for the complex, which was prepared free of charge by the Chinese company Hongkong-AOHUA. The Prime Minister highlighted this gesture as a testament to the strong ties between Pakistan and China. He noted that this contribution from the Chinese company will be remembered by the Pakistani government, its people, and future patients of the hospital.
Shehbaz Sharif also expressed approval for the comprehensive emergency response plan included in the design, aimed at addressing future pandemics. He instructed that environmental protection, water conservation, and efficient resource use be prioritized. The design's inclusion of solar energy, natural light optimization, water recycling, and greenery was met with satisfaction by the Prime Minister.
Furthermore, he directed the digital integration of the Jinnah Medical Complex with other hospitals in Islamabad. He urged officials to ensure that all construction-related tasks are completed within the planned timeframe, underscoring the importance of timely execution for the success of the project.
