Jamiat-ul-Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has announced to withdraw their four candidates in Karachi, including one for National Assembly and three for Provincial Assembly seats, in support of MQM-P candidates. MQM-Pakistan leader Abdur Rauf Siddiqui and JUI leader Moulana Ghiyas at news conference in Karachi announced this decision. Rauf Siddiqui said decision is taken by Fazl-ur-Rehman in connection with the political alliance of JUI with GDA and MQM in Sindh. He informed that the constituencies where JUI has withdrawn its candidates include NA-237 where JUI candidate Ehsanullah Hazarvi has withdrawn in favour of Rauf Siddiqui while three candidates from PS-101, PS-103 and PS-104 have also withdrawn in favour of MQM candidates.
