Islamabad: Federal Minister for National Health Services Syed Mustafa Kamal has reiterated the government's strong commitment to strengthening and improving pharmacy services across the country. He expressed this commitment during his meeting with the Director General Health and Director of Pharmacy Services of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan in Islamabad. According to Radio Pakistan, the Federal Minister suggested revising the Pharmacy Act, 1967, and the pharmacy curriculum to align with international standards. He emphasized the need to train pharmacy graduates to effectively meet both national and international healthcare needs. The Minister further directed the formation of a high-level technical committee to review the existing legal framework and propose necessary amendments to the Pharmacy Act, 1967.
