Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Criticized for Security Failures

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has criticized the provincial government for failing to protect the lives of its citizens.

According to Radio Pakistan, Tarar accused the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of lacking the will to take action against terrorism. He claimed that their policy supports terrorism in the province and emphasized the need for the PTI to decide whether it stands with Pakistan or Afghanistan.

Tarar further alleged that the PTI benefits from Pakistan while favoring Afghanistan. He criticized the party for its double standards, engaging in talks but refusing to abandon its contradictory policies.

The minister expressed concern over ongoing violence, highlighting that innocent children and rescue workers are being harmed while Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is preoccupied with securing the release of a prisoner. He questioned the PTI government's failure to convene meetings of the Provincial Apex Committee despite receiving over Rs700 billion for counter-terrorism efforts under the NFC Award.

Tarar assured that the government will not tolerate any disturbances to law and order and is committed to ensuring the safety of its citizens.
