Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has directed for coordinated efforts between federal and provincial departments in rescue and relief operations in the flood-affected districts. He emphasized the need for a joint strategy while chairing a meeting in Peshawar in response to the ongoing emergency situation in the province.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting highlighted that a survey is currently being conducted to assess the damage to infrastructure, with a report expected to be completed by Saturday night. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of this survey in planning effective relief measures.
The briefing further revealed that work is ongoing to restore communication roads, which are crucial for accessing areas cut off by the floods. In addition to physical infrastructure repair, medical teams, medicines, food items, and other essential goods are being dispatched to support the affected communities.
