SHANGHAI: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has extended an invitation to Jinko Solar Company to establish a solar manufacturing plant in Punjab, Pakistan, during her recent visit to the company's headquarters in Shanghai. The move aims to boost renewable energy initiatives in the province. According to Radio Pakistan, officials from Jinko Solar expressed interest in the proposal and offered to set up the manufacturing plant in Punjab. In response, Chief Minister Sharif instructed the relevant authorities in the Punjab government to take the necessary steps to facilitate the establishment of the plant. Chief Minister Sharif emphasized the potential for renewable and affordable solar energy projects in Punjab, highlighting the region's favorable conditions for solar production. She encouraged Jinko Solar to actively engage in green energy initiatives within the province to enhance its energy landscape.
