Karachi: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has underscored the role of creative education in driving economic growth and societal transformation. He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Karachi Chapter of Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design at the historic Mohatta Palace Museum in Karachi today. According to Radio Pakistan, Dr. Siddiqui highlighted the importance of linking design and fashion arts with the industry. He emphasized that incorporating creative education as a fundamental component of the curriculum could significantly enhance the economic prospects of the country by fostering innovation and practical skills. Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor of the institute, Professor Hina Tayyaba Khalil, praised the role of the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design in cultivating design talent. She noted that the institute's efforts are not only enriching the nation's cultural heritage but are also making substantive contributions to its economic landscape.
