Jeddah: The Muslim World League has expressed its strong condemnation and complete rejection of the E1 settlement plan and related settlement activities in occupied East Jerusalem. According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the General Secretariat of the League issued a statement in which His Excellency the Secretary-General, Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, denounced the plan as a threat to the realization of an independent Palestinian state. The statement also criticized all illegal Israeli settlement policies in the occupied Palestinian territory and the support and protection of violations and acts of violence committed by settlers against the Palestinian people and their property. This was highlighted as part of an ongoing Israeli approach that continues to violate relevant international laws and resolutions, undermining all peace efforts. His Eminence emphasized the urgent need for the international community to fulfill its legal and moral respons ibilities by ensuring the immediate cessation of all acts of violence, violations, and settlement policies. He also called for an end to measures that aim to alter the geographic and demographic character of the occupied Palestinian territory. The statement expressed appreciation for the foreign ministers of several countries, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and others, who have shown firm solidarity with the Palestinian people. Their support focuses on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, particularly the right to establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian state in accordance with the two-state solution and relevant international resolutions, as the only way to achieve a just and lasting peace in the region.
