Mustafa Assures Chinese Investors of Govt’s Full Support

Islamabad: Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal has assured Chinese investors of the government's full support and facilitation for investment in Pakistan's pharmaceutical and healthcare sector. Addressing the Pakistan-China Business-to-Business Investment Conference on Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare and Biotechnology in Islamabad, he emphasized that no obstacle would be allowed to impede Chinese investment in the country.

According to Radio Pakistan, the minister highlighted the vast investment potential of Pakistan's pharmaceutical and healthcare market. He referred to the reforms in the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), stating that it has been transformed into a vibrant institution over the past year. Notably, the registration process for medical devices, which previously took around two and a half years, has now been significantly reduced to about twenty days through digitization. The minister also noted that DRAP successfully processed four thousand and seven hundred registration cases during the last eight months.
