Moscow: The Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has expressed appreciation for the strengthening relations between Russia and the Muslim world. During his meeting with Damir Mukhetdinov, the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Muftis, at the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, Sadiq emphasized the positive developments in the relationship between Pakistan and Russia. According to Radio Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq welcomed Russia's position on combating Islamophobia and praised President Putin's commitment to respecting holy religious figures. Sadiq also expressed admiration for the inter-faith harmony and peaceful coexistence of multiple faiths observed in Russia. In addition to these points, the meeting addressed the Palestinian issue, with both parties expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people. They also agreed to maintain ongoing cooperation in the religio-cultural domain, underscoring the shared commitment to fostering mutual understanding and respect between diverse communities.
