Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has expressed Pakistan's strong commitment to fostering cordial and friendly relations with Australia. During a meeting with Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Neil Hawkins in Islamabad today, he highlighted the importance of enhancing parliamentary diplomacy as a means of expanding bilateral ties between the two nations. According to Radio Pakistan, Ayaz Sadiq emphasized that Pakistan places great importance on its cordial and friendly relations with Australia and noted that parliamentary diplomacy could play a pivotal role in deepening these ties. He acknowledged the vital role played by the Pakistan-Australia Parliamentary Friendship Group in the National Assembly. Neil Hawkins, on his part, emphasized Australia's continued commitment to Pakistan's prosperity. He commended the steps taken by Pakistan to empower women and protect the rights of youth, indicating a mutual interest in strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
