Islamabad: The National Accountability Bureau today conducted a public auction of six commercial properties linked to Malik Riaz and Bahria Town, in efforts to recover defaulted funds from a court-approved plea bargain of 2019.
According to Radio Pakistan, Rubaish Marquee, Islamabad was successfully auctioned for 508 million rupees, which is 20 million rupees higher than the reserved price. Payment and transfer process is now underway.
The Corporate Office-I, Rawalpindi received conditional offers of 876 million rupees, while Corporate Office-II, Rawalpindi attracted conditional offers of 881.5 million rupees. Final approval is pending from NAB's Competent Authority.
Three properties remained unsold due to lack of qualifying bids. A re-auction will be announced soon.
