Naval Chief Engages in Strategic Meetings with Azerbaijan’s Military Leadership

Baku: Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf is currently on an official visit to Azerbaijan, where he has engaged in significant meetings with the nation's top military leadership to bolster bilateral defense cooperation.

According to Radio Pakistan, Admiral Ashraf was honored with a Guard of Honour upon his arrival at the Azerbaijan Naval Forces Headquarters. During his visit, he held in-depth discussions with First Grade Captain Shahin Mammadov, Commander of the Azerbaijan Naval Forces. The discussions centered around mutual interests, particularly focusing on enhancing bilateral naval cooperation and regional maritime security.

Admiral Ashraf highlighted the importance of strengthening coordination between the two naval forces through joint exercises and training exchange programs. Additionally, he received a comprehensive briefing on the operational readiness, training, and overall activities of the Azerbaijan Navy. He was also a witness to an operational demonstration by Azerbaijan Navy's Special Operations Forces.

The Admiral further extended his diplomatic engagements by meeting with Colonel General Karim Valiyev, Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army. This meeting addressed issues of mutual interest and explored opportunities for increased military collaboration.

This visit by the Chief of Pakistan Navy is anticipated to further solidify the defense relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, particularly enhancing the ties between their respective naval forces.
