NDMA Issues Alert for Heavy Rainfall in Punjab and AJK

Islamabad: The National Disaster Management Authority has issued a warning of heavy rainfall across various districts in Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Radio Pakistan, the advisory is part of a larger alert that highlights potential urban flooding and waterlogging, particularly in low-lying areas. Authorities have emphasized the risk of streams overflowing and flooding, especially in vulnerable zones and hilly regions, where landslides and flash floods pose significant threats.

Citizens are being urged to avoid unnecessary travel and to maintain a safe distance from rivers and streams. They are also advised to adhere to official instructions disseminated through television, radio, mobile alerts, and the NDMA Disaster Alert app.
