NHA Bans Entry of Vehicles Loaded with Animals on Motorways in View of Eid-ul-Adha

Islamabad: The National Highways and Motorway Police has banned the entry of vehicles loaded with animals on Motorways in view of Eid-ul-Adha.

According to Radio Pakistan, vehicles transporting animals have been involved in several hazardous accidents in the past, resulting in severe human and financial losses. The spokesperson for the Motorway Police stated that overloaded, unfit, and unsafely managed transport units are primary causes of accidents and severe traffic congestion. This preemptive measure has been taken to ensure the safety of commuters traveling on the highway network.

The spokesperson further explained that vehicles loaded with animals will be diverted to alternative routes. Additionally, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have been requested to set up check posts near motorway entry points and livestock markets to enforce this new regulation.
