NHA Intensifies Emergency Clearance and Restoration Work Across Gilgit-Baltistan

Islamabad: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has intensified emergency clearance and restoration work on major highways networks across Gilgit-Baltistan following recent heavy rainfall, mudflows, and severe landslides.

According to Radio Pakistan, clearance and debris removal operation has commenced at the bridge located on the Gilgit side of the Jaglot-Skardu Road.

The NHA field teams and heavy machinery remain fully deployed across all affected areas to ensure the prompt restoration of safe traffic flow. Heavy machinery, dispatched from Shutot, is currently clearing landslides between Ansar Camp and Hanochal.

The NHA spokesperson said machinery has also been deployed on the Gilgit-Shandur Road, with the affected section expected to be fully reopened for traffic soon.
