Pakistan and Bahrain Strengthen Bilateral Ties at Joint Ministerial Commission

Islamabad:Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar co-chaired the 3rd Session of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission alongside Bahrain's Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Radio Pakistan, the two countries reviewed progress in their bilateral cooperation, agreeing to enhance collaboration in various sectors, including trade and investment, energy, agriculture and food security, information technology, health, education, and labor.

Discussions also focused on strengthening connectivity and promoting people-to-people exchanges. Deputy Prime Minister Dar emphasized the importance of converting the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Bahrain into tangible benefits for their populations. He advocated for the effective implementation of agreed outcomes through Joint Working Groups, institutional partnerships, and regular follow-up.

High-level delegations from both nations attended the Joint Ministerial Commission. The Pakistani delegation included the Secretary of the Economic Affairs Division, the Acting Foreign Secretary, the Secretary of SIFC, and senior officials from relevant ministries and departments. Senior Bahraini officials and representatives from the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry were also present.
