Pakistan and UK Explore Enhanced Trade Partnerships

Islamabad:Pakistan and the United Kingdom have discussed ways to further enhance trade and cooperation in priority sectors, aiming for concrete outcomes through the next bilateral Trade Dialogue.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting took place between Pakistan's Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan and British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott. The discussions focused on expanding trade and investment cooperation in sectors such as healthcare and life sciences, information technology, agriculture and livestock, financial services, aviation, and minerals-related services.

The Commerce Minister highlighted the opportunities for British expertise, technology, and investment to support modern livestock practices and strengthen commercial linkages. Meanwhile, the British High Commissioner emphasized the importance of incorporating food safety and regulatory requirements into sector development, which would enable Pakistani producers to access the UK and other international markets.
