Karachi: Pakistan and Vietnam have agreed to expand cooperation in the Halal seafood industry, signaling a new chapter in bilateral trade relations between the two countries. The agreement was solidified during a meeting between the Ambassador of Vietnam to Pakistan, Pham Anh Tuan, and representatives of the Pakistan Fisheries Exporters Association, alongside Director General of Marine Fisheries Department Dr. Mansoor Ali Wassan in Karachi.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dr. Wassan informed the participants that Pakistan's seafood exports to Vietnam reached $9 million in 2024, marking a 20 percent increase compared to the previous year. This significant growth underscores the potential for further collaboration in the Halal seafood sector, which is expected to benefit both countries economically and strengthen their trade ties.
