Peshawar: In a significant relief effort, the Pakistan Army is delivering one day’s ration to the flood victims in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, following the orders of the Chief of Army Staff. This initiative is aimed at aiding the needy people in the flood-stricken regions.
According to Radio Pakistan, the rescue operations led by the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps North are ongoing in various parts of Buner, Shangla, and Swat, which have been severely impacted by the floods. Additional troops arrived in the affected areas last night to bolster the relief operations already underway.
The Corps of Engineers has also deployed units to the region, commencing operations with specialized equipment to assist in the relief efforts. Despite challenging weather conditions, Pakistan Army helicopters continue to conduct rescue missions to ensure the safety of those trapped in the flood-hit areas.
Medical support is being provided as well, with Pakistan Army doctors establishing medical camps in the affected localities. These camps are distributing free medicines to those in need, aiming to address immediate health concerns among the flood victims.
