Pakistan has become the fifth largest country worldwide in the sesame production with its over four hundred million dollars exports in current year. According to the Ministry of National Food Security and Research, sesame has emerged as a pivotal cash crop within Pakistan's agricultural portfolio. This is the result of the collaborative efforts of all provincial governments with the Ministry of National Food Security through PSDP funded project National Oilseeds Enhancement Program.
