Islamabad: Pakistan has called for operationalizing the Gaza Reconstruction Plan endorsed by the OIC and Arab Group.

According to Radio Pakistan, in a national statement, Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the UN in New York, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, emphasized the importance of the upcoming International Conference on Gaza, stating that it is both timely and essential. He urged the international community to provide a robust response considering the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people and the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Asim Iftikhar highlighted the necessity of fully implementing a ceasefire in Gaza, lifting the blockade, ensuring unimpeded humanitarian access, and safeguarding aid workers. He also demanded that any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians, annex their territory, or impose a militarized aid mechanism must be firmly rejected.
