Pakistan Committed to Advancing Labour Rights: Salik

Geneva: Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain has expressed Pakistan's continued commitment to advancing labour rights. He made these remarks during a meeting with ILO Director-General Gilbert F. Houngbo on the sidelines of the 114th Session of the International Labour Conference (ILC) in Geneva.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister underscored Pakistan's ongoing efforts to enhance employment opportunities and improve protections for workers. The meeting highlighted Pakistan's dedication to fostering a better working environment through legislative and policy measures aimed at safeguarding labour rights.

The ILO Director-General appreciated Pakistan's constructive engagement with the ILO and welcomed the country's ongoing commitment to promoting decent work and advancing social progress.
