Pakistan Rejects India’s Statement on Anti-Terror Action

Islamabad: Pakistan has rejected the baseless, misleading, and unwarranted statement issued by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs on Pakistan's ongoing action against terrorist infrastructure in Afghanistan. Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi addressed media queries regarding the statement from the Ministry of External Affairs of India issued yesterday.

According to Radio Pakistan, Andrabi criticized India's statement, highlighting India's active sponsorship of terrorism directed at Pakistan from Afghan soil and its historical role as a spoiler. He described the statement as a reflection of India's hypocrisy and duplicity.

Andrabi emphasized that the statement comes from a country whose leadership remains unaccountable for using Islamophobia for electoral gain and for conducting pogroms against its Muslim population. He noted that India's leadership recently expressed unequivocal support for another occupying power responsible for the killing of thousands of Palestinians.

Tahir Andrabi further stated that it is preposterous for a state historically known for undermining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of its neighbors to comment on upholding such principles. He pointed out that India continues to suppress and deny the right to self-determination of Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, in violation of UN resolutions.

The Foreign Office urged India to refrain from supporting terrorist groups operating from Afghan soil, including those listed under the UN Security Council sanctions list, and advised India to cease its misplaced concerns over Pakistan's successful counter-terrorism measures.
