Islamabad: Pakistan team has bagged the SAAF Cross Country Championships 2025 held in Islamabad. Pakistan secured first place trophies in both the senior 10km and junior 8km competitions of the cross country athletics championship. According to Radio Pakistan, the Sri Lankan team claimed the second position, while Bangladesh and Maldives took the third and fourth positions, respectively. This event was organized under the auspices of the Athletics Federation of Pakistan and marked the first time in 77 years that the SAAF Cross Country was held in the country. In a show of support, ambassadors from Nepal and Sri Lanka, along with senior diplomats from Maldives and Sri Lanka, attended the event to cheer on their respective teams.
