Islamabad: Pakistan has urged all sides in the Middle East to refrain from any further actions that may undermine the security and territorial integrity of other regional countries.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Foreign Office expressed regret over the breakdown of talks and the outbreak of hostilities in the Middle East. The statement emphasized Pakistan's condemnation of the unwarranted attacks against Iran at a time when diplomatic efforts were being made to reach a peaceful and negotiated solution.
The Foreign Office highlighted that such actions could undermine the peace and stability of the entire region, leading to far-reaching consequences. Additionally, Pakistan strongly condemned the attacks by Iran against Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE, expressing solidarity with these countries and underscoring the need for maximum restraint. The unprovoked attacks were described as blatant violations of the sovereignty of the Gulf states.
Furthermore, the Foreign Office condemned the unfortunate death of a Pakistani national in the United Arab Emirates during an attack. Pakistan called for the upholding of international law and the principles of the UN Charter, emphasizing the importance of resuming diplomacy to find a peaceful and negotiated solution to the crisis.
