Islamabad: Pakistan has expressed deep regret over United States veto on a UN Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire in ongoing Israel's war on besieged Gaza. According to Radio Pakistan, Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram, stated that the resolution was vetoed by the sole negative vote of a permanent member of the Council. The UN Security Council voted 14-1 in favor of the resolution, but it was not adopted due to the US veto.
