Islamabad: Pakistan has welcomed the recent announcements by the United States, the European Union, and the UK to lift sanctions on Syria.
According to Radio Pakistan, during a UN Security Council briefing on the humanitarian and political situation in Syria, Pakistan's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Usman Jadoon, highlighted the significance of removing these sanctions. He emphasized that this move presents a crucial opportunity for restoring critical infrastructure, attracting foreign investment, and reintegrating Syria into regional and global economies.
