The result gives Pakistan a perfect start to the tournament and strengthens belief within the squad after heading into the event with hopes of making a serious impact. Pakistan's next fixture is against Mauritania on Sunday, and then later against hosts Côte d'Ivoire on Thursday. President Asif Ali Zardari has congratulated Pakistan Women's Football Team on their historic 8-0 victory in the FIFA Series 2026. In a post on X, he called this triumph a moment of national pride and a strong signal of the rising potential of women's football in Pakistan.
