Pakistan’s Independence Day Celebrated with Grandeur in Luton

Luton: A grand event was held in Luton on Saturday to celebrate the Independence Day of Pakistan, Marka-e-Haq, and the success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos. Pakistan's High Commissioner to the UK, Dr Mohammad Faisal, was the chief guest on this occasion.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dr Mohammad Faisal, in his address, paid tribute to the founding forefathers of Pakistan who rendered sacrifices to achieve freedom for the Muslims of the subcontinent. He emphasized the responsibility of making the country stronger and more resilient for future generations.

Dr Faisal also highlighted the success of the armed forces in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos and Marka-e-Haq, and acknowledged the significant contributions of the Pakistani Diaspora in the UK during the May war. He stressed the importance of the youth and overseas Pakistanis in the economic development of both Great Britain and Pakistan.

The event saw counsellors and the Mayor appreciating the contributions of British Pakistanis to the socio-economic development of Luton. The celebration concluded with Dr Faisal, host Qari Allama Abdul Aziz, and guests performing the cake cutting to mark Pakistan's Independence Day.
