Doha: A two-member parliamentary delegation from Pakistan is departing for Doha, Qatar on Monday to attend the two-day meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly. PML-N's Parliamentary Party Leader in the Senate, Irfan Siddiqui, is leading the delegation, while PPP leader and Member of the National Assembly, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, will also be accompanying him. According to Radio Pakistan, the four-day meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly's Standing Committee on Budget and Planning will start from Friday. This meeting will consider a two-point agenda related to the budget and planning of the Parliamentary Assembly. Pakistan is an active and dynamic member of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly. The organization includes 43 countries from the region, including Pakistan, China, Russia, India, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkiye, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Bangladesh, while fourteen other countries have observer status.
