Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has announced that PIA flights to Europe and the United Kingdom have been restored as a result of the current government's initiatives.
According to Radio Pakistan, Attaullah Tarar expressed his gratitude outside the Islamabad High Court, emphasizing that the restoration of these flights occurred during the tenure of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. He attributed significant financial losses to Pakistan International Airlines to the previous government's irresponsible statements.
The minister also addressed the case of Shalimar Recording and Broadcasting Company, stating that he has submitted his position to the court and requested the Islamabad High Court to reinstate the company, which employs over 300 individuals. He clarified that the dissolution process began before his tenure as Minister for Information and Broadcasting.
Attaullah Tarar further mentioned that the court has ordered the submission of a business plan for Shalimar Recording and Broadcasting Company and instructed the liquidator to ensure employee salaries are paid. In response to a query, he criticized the governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, citing increased corruption and inefficiency, particularly referencing the local government's inability to assist tourists stranded in the Swat River.
