Hangzhou: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized the importance of Business-to-Business cooperation between Pakistani and Chinese companies to further strengthen fraternal relations between the two countries. He made these remarks during his meetings with senior Chinese corporate executives, representing several leading companies in Hangzhou today.
According to Radio Pakistan, as part of his outreach to China's corporate sector, the Prime Minister met representatives of Sheng Huo Neng Yuan Ke Ji Company, CATL, StarCharge, and Xiuzheng Pharmaceutical Group. He also met Agnes Siu, CEO of Sheng Huo Neng Yuan Ke Ji Company, where discussions focused on cooperation in the renewable energy sector.
The Prime Minister highlighted the emerging renewable energy market and its growing demand in Pakistan. He also outlined the policy measures taken by the government to facilitate the renewable energy sector, particularly solar power. The discussions with Oscar Luo, Executive President of CATL, centered on cooperation in advanced batteries, energy storage, and solar-linked solutions to support Pakistan's clean energy transition.
A meeting with Danwei Shao, Chairwoman of StarCharge Group, focused on electric vehicle charging infrastructure and smart mobility systems. Additionally, the President of Xiuzheng Pharmaceutical Group, Xin Yuan, called on the Prime Minister to discuss pharmaceutical manufacturing, healthcare cooperation, and investment opportunities in Pakistan's growing medical sector.
The meetings also explored the potential for increased investment, establishment of manufacturing facilities, and expansion of existing operations in Pakistan. The Prime Minister highlighted the government's policies for ease of doing business in Pakistan and also shed light on the investment-centric steps taken by the government.
