Gilgit: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Gilgit for a day-long visit.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister was welcomed upon his arrival by Governor Gilgit Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah and Chief Minister Gulbar Khan. The visit is primarily to assess the flood situation in the region and evaluate the damages caused by recent rains.

Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to meet with victims of the rains and floods in Gilgit, where he will distribute relief funds to those affected. His agenda includes chairing a meeting to review the extent of the losses caused by the adverse weather conditions.

The Prime Minister will also engage in discussions with the Governor and Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan to address the ongoing challenges and coordinate further relief efforts.
