PM Assures Full Support to Chinese Companies for Business Expansion

Beijing: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced Pakistan's commitment to providing comprehensive support to Chinese companies aiming to expand their businesses, thereby fostering economic, trade, and technological ties between the two nations. During a ceremony at the headquarters of IBI Corporation in Beijing, he emphasized the importance of enhancing Pakistan-China economic cooperation, bilateral trade, and investment, which align with the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister assured IBI Corporation of facilitating its business activities within Pakistan. He highlighted that under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) phase two, the government is prioritizing Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology, seeking rapid advancement in these sectors.

Addressing the young participants, regarded as talented entrepreneurs and experts, the Prime Minister stressed the government's commitment to providing technical training and skills development for the youth. He pointed out that Pakistan-China cooperation would be further strengthened through the engagement and relations of the younger generation.

Moreover, he mentioned the vast investment opportunities available in Special Economic Zones under CPEC phase two. He specifically invited Chinese investors to explore the first Special Economic Zone near Port Qasim in Karachi, which spans over 6,000 acres, offering modern infrastructure and facilities.

Upon his arrival at IBI Corporation, Prime Minister Sharif was welcomed by Wang Shaofeng, Party Secretary of Fengtai District Beijing, alongside IBI President Mr. Qian Xiaojun. The event was attended by over 150 companies and representatives, focusing on cross-border industrial collaboration between China and Pakistan.
