Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised the role of Pakistan Muslim League (N) senators in the nation's development and urged the Upper House of the Parliament to actively contribute to national unity and provincial harmony. He made these remarks during a meeting with Senator Irfan Siddiqui, the leader of the parliamentary party of Pakistan Muslim League (N) in the Senate and Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, in Islamabad. According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) parliamentary group maintaining strong relationships with all other parties in the Senate to achieve these goals. He highlighted that the importance of a robust foreign policy has grown significantly in the current global landscape. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed hope that the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, under the leadership of Senator Irfan Siddiqui, would serve as a guiding think tank for the government. He acknow ledged the commendable role played by the senators of Pakistan Muslim League (N) under Senator Siddiqui's leadership. During the meeting, Senator Irfan Siddiqui provided the Prime Minister with a briefing on the performance of the parliamentary party in the Senate and the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs.
