Lahore: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore to discuss the overall law and order situation in the country. The meeting focused on security arrangements and the protection of public safety.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Interior Minister briefed the Prime Minister about the security measures put in place for Eid-ul-Adha. These measures were aimed at safeguarding lives, property, and ensuring the safety of public spaces during the festivities.
Mohsin Naqvi also updated the Prime Minister on the preparations for the upcoming elections in Gilgit-Baltistan. He assured that all necessary arrangements have been finalized to provide a secure environment for voters throughout the electoral process.
The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the security institutions' efforts in maintaining peace and stability across the nation. He also praised the Interior Minister and his team for the effective security plans laid out for the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections.
Shehbaz Sharif reiterated the government's commitment to taking all necessary steps to support the democratic process, emphasizing the importance of a peaceful and orderly electoral environment.
