Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his condolences to President of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, following a tragic fire incident in north-western Turkiye.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a telephonic conversation with President Erdogan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his deepest sympathies over the loss of lives in the fire at the Grand Kartal Hotel. The Prime Minister stated that the entire Pakistani nation is saddened by the news and is praying for the departed souls as well as the swift recovery of the injured.

Shehbaz Sharif assured President Erdogan of Pakistan's full solidarity with the people of Turkiye during this difficult time. He praised the prompt response of Turkish authorities in handling the incident and offered any assistance that might be required.

In response, President Erdogan expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the gesture, noting it as a reflection of the strong fraternal ties between Pakistan and Turkiye and their mutual desire to further strengthen these bonds.
