Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the $3.6 billion sent by overseas Pakistanis in remittances during the month of July.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister highlighted in a statement that remittances from overseas Pakistanis saw a 13 percent increase on a year-on-year basis in July, which he deemed highly encouraging. He praised the consistent positive contributions of overseas Pakistanis towards the stability and development of the national economy, emphasizing their crucial role.

Shehbaz Sharif further acknowledged overseas Pakistanis as a valuable part of the national economic mainstream, reinforcing their significance in bolstering the country's economic framework.
