Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended felicitations to the newly elected office bearers in the annual elections of Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors. In his message, he congratulated President Irshad Ahmed Arif, Secretary General Ejazul Haque, Senior Vice President Anwar Sajdi and other elected officials. The Prime Minister expressed hope that newly elected office bearers will take steps for further improving the quality of journalism and eradicating fake news in the country. He commended the role of Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors for rendering valuable services in the promotion of quality journalism in the country. He termed resolving the problems of the journalistic community as the topmost priority of the government.
