PM Shehbaz and President Erdogan Exchange Eid Greetings

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with President of Trkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan this evening on the auspicious occasion of Eid ul-Adha. During their warm and cordial conversation, the Prime Minister conveyed Eid ul-Adha greetings to the Turkish leadership and the brotherly people of Trkiye, which were warmly reciprocated by President Tayyip Erdogan.

According to Radio Pakistan, recalling their frequent engagements, including their most recent meeting in Antalya last April, the two leaders reaffirmed that the historic and time-tested fraternal bonds between Trkiye and Pakistan have been further strengthened. Both leaders agreed to fast-track the implementation of key decisions taken during their recent high-level meetings, with a focus on accelerating bilateral cooperation in trade and investment. They also exchanged views on ongoing regional peace efforts.

The Prime Minister thanked President Tayyip Erdogan for Trkiye's strong and consistent support for the Pakistan-led peace initiative. The two leaders also agreed to continue working closely to promote peace in the region through dialogue, stability, and de-escalation. In his remarks, President Tayyip Erdogan expressed deep condolences over the tragic train bombing incident in Balochistan on 24th of this month and assured that Trkiye would always stand with Pakistan in combating terrorism. The Prime Minister thanked the Turkish President for his expression of solidarity and sympathy and said that Pakistan will continue to combat terrorism in all its manifestations.
