Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stressed the importance of federal and provincial governments working closely to ensure the early completion of significant Pakistan Railways projects, particularly ML-1, ML-3, and the Thar Coal Rail Project.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a meeting in Islamabad focused on Pakistan Railways, the Prime Minister highlighted that the timely and high-quality completion of these mega projects would not only reduce construction costs but also help conserve valuable national resources. He assured that the necessary budgetary allocations for railways' mega projects would be secured in the upcoming budget.

Prime Minister Shehbaz reiterated the government's commitment to maintaining international standards, administrative transparency, and performance efficiency in all ongoing projects. He emphasized that investment in freight services and the timely completion of mega projects should be among the top policy priorities for Pakistan Railways.

Furthermore, he noted that world-class freight services would facilitate the transportation of industrial goods and significantly boost the annual revenue of Pakistan Railways. The Prime Minister also directed that financial and institutional arrangements for ongoing mega projects should receive prior approval to prevent unnecessary delays and interruptions in their completion.
