PM Shehbaz Sharif Advocates for Renewable Energy Initiatives

Lahore: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the promotion of renewable energy projects to address the power shortage in the country. Chairing a meeting on power sector reforms in Lahore, he emphasized the importance of incorporating modern technology into the energy sector.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister instructed measures to facilitate both industrial and domestic electricity consumers. He highlighted the necessity of ensuring an uninterrupted energy supply to boost industrial development. The government considers providing facilities for domestic consumers a top priority.

Additionally, Shehbaz Sharif called for reducing line losses by improving the electricity transmission system and formulating a comprehensive strategy to stabilize electricity prices. He also emphasized the promotion of digital facilities to simplify bill payments for consumers.

The Prime Minister reiterated the need for strict measures to combat electricity theft and stated that energy sector reforms will prioritize the interests of the public and industry. During the meeting, recommendations concerning electricity consumption for domestic consumers and industry were presented to the Prime Minister.
