Islamabad:Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed the authorities to implement emergency measures to ensure safe and reliable train travel.

According to Radio Pakistan, these directives were issued during a meeting with Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi in Islamabad.

The Prime Minister emphasized that public relief, reforms, and transparency in Pakistan Railways are among the government's top priorities. He pledged full support for introducing transformative reforms and revitalizing the railway service.

The meeting involved a detailed discussion on the administrative and financial matters of the Ministry of Railways, as well as ongoing reforms. Hanif Abbasi provided an update on the performance of Pakistan Railways and the progress of development projects. Both parties also discussed key measures to enhance freight services and modernize passenger facilities.
