PM Shehbaz Welcomes Lifting of British Air Safety Board’s Ban on Pakistani Flights

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has welcomed the lifting of the British Air Safety Board's ban on Pakistani flights. In a statement, he attributed the previous imposition of restrictions to irresponsible statements made by leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which he said had negatively impacted the country's reputation.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the removal of flight restrictions, highlighting it as a significant milestone for Pakistan and its residents in Britain. He appreciated the efforts of Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif, the Ministry of Defence, and the Aviation Division for their roles in lifting the ban.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that this development will improve Pakistan's international image and strengthen bilateral cooperation with Britain. He also mentioned ongoing efforts to make Pakistani airlines competitive with global carriers.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the government is taking steps to ensure transparency, quality, and adherence to international standards in the national aviation sector.
