Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stressed the need to further deepen cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye in trade, investment, and defence. He was speaking with Turkiye Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu, who called on him in Islamabad today. According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the growing bilateral cooperation between the two countries and articulated his gratitude for Turkiye's consistent support to Pakistan on Kashmir. He affirmed Pakistan's strong support to Turkiye on its core interests. Welcoming the newly appointed Ambassador, Shehbaz Sharif expressed hope to work closely with him to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations. He conveyed his best wishes to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and reiterated his invitation for the Turkish President to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his earliest convenience. Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu assured the Prime Minister of his full commitment to further strengthen the friendship bonds between the two countries. During the meeting, the regional situation, particularly in Gaza and the Middle East, was also discussed.
