PML-N’s Commitment to AJK’s Development Highlighted by Marriyum Aurangzeb

Rawalpindi: Senior Minister of Punjab Marriyum Aurangzeb has emphasized that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) remains dedicated to the development and progress of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). Speaking at an election rally in Rawalpindi ahead of the AJK elections, she highlighted the party's track record in enhancing the region's infrastructure and welfare.

According to Radio Pakistan, Marriyum Aurangzeb pointed out that the people of Azad Kashmir have reaped the benefits of development projects initiated under former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's leadership. These projects included the construction of essential infrastructure such as roads, hospitals, and schools aimed at improving public welfare.

Aurangzeb also mentioned the significance of the 13th Constitutional Amendment, which was enacted during Nawaz Sharif's government. This amendment empowered the AJK Legislative Assembly by granting it greater administrative and legislative authority, thus ensuring that decisions affecting Kashmir are made within the region itself.

The Senior Minister reiterated the PML-N's stance on the Kashmir issue, declaring Kashmir as Pakistan's "jugular vein" and an inseparable part of the country. She warned against efforts to create a division between Pakistan and Kashmir, stating such attempts are detrimental to their shared interests.

Currently, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the government is implementing development projects in Azad Kashmir valued at over 500 billion rupees. These projects focus on infrastructure, healthcare, and education, reflecting the party's ongoing commitment to the region's growth.

Marriyum Aurangzeb urged voters to support the PML-N in the upcoming AJK elections, expressing confidence that the people of Azad Kashmir would once again endorse the party's leadership and its vision for development.
