Islamabad: The Prime Minister's Task Force on maritime reforms is undertaking urgent reforms for the development of the maritime sector. Pakistan's maritime resources hold blue economy potential of over one hundred billion dollars. However, for a long time, Pakistan was unable to fully capitalize on its vast maritime resources and national maritime assets. According to Radio Pakistan, a 99-point Maritime Roadmap was presented on December 24, 2024, under the Prime Minister's Task Force. The roadmap focuses on modernizing ports, logistics, shipping, shipbuilding, and fisheries. Effective implementation is underway under the Prime Minister's Task Force to enhance national shipping and shipbuilding capacity and modernize Pakistan's maritime sector.
